A framed art print titled 'The Bird Cage' hangs on a beige wall above a white sofa in a styled living room. The print depicts a retro mid-century modern scene with a building, palm trees, and a vintage orange car.

Architecture, Reimagined

Drawn From an Architect's Perspective

Lex doesn't simply reproduce buildings. He studies them.

The rhythm of a façade. The relationship between windows and walls. The geometry of a cornice. The shadows created by an overhang. The details most people pass every day without ever really seeing.

That architectural understanding forms the foundation of every piece.

Starting with photographic reference material, Lex carefully reconstructs, refines and interprets each building digitally. Elements are isolated, redrawn, enhanced and composed until the finished work becomes something distinctly different from the original photograph.

The result sits somewhere between architectural drawing, illustration and fine art.

More Than a Photograph

A photograph captures a moment.

Lex's artwork interprets it.

Colors may become stronger. Lines become cleaner. Architectural details are emphasized. Distracting elements can disappear. Shadows, reflections and skies can be reconsidered entirely.

The objective isn't perfect photographic reproduction.

It's to reveal the character of the architecture.

Every finished piece reflects hundreds of individual decisions about what should remain, what should change and what deserves to be noticed.

THE PROCESS

How the Artwork Is Created

Each piece begins with the architecture itself and evolves through a careful process of observation, reconstruction and artistic interpretation.

01

Observe

Every piece begins with the building itself — its proportions, details, surroundings and the architectural elements that give it character.

02

Build

Using photographic reference as a starting point, Lex carefully reconstructs and develops the architecture digitally, working with individual lines, shapes and surfaces.

03

Refine

Color, contrast, shadows, reflections and architectural details are adjusted. Some elements are emphasized while others are simplified or removed entirely.

04

Reimagine

The finished piece becomes Lex's interpretation of the building — architecturally grounded and instantly recognizable, yet transformed into something entirely its own.
