Designed for a private developer in the heart of Victoria, British Columbia, this two-story commercial building was created to accommodate a Toronto Dominion Bank branch on the ground floor with professional office space above. The project combines durable steel and concrete construction with a clean, contemporary architectural expression designed to complement its urban surroundings.
The 10,000-square-foot building emphasizes functionality, visibility, and flexibility while providing a welcoming public banking environment and efficient upper-level office accommodations. Large storefront glazing, generous structural spans, and a disciplined façade create a professional presence while maximizing natural light throughout the interior.
Completed while with Stark & George Architects, the project reflects Lex George's early experience designing commercial buildings that balance tenant requirements, long-term durability, and timeless architectural design.
