North Conway, New Hampshire
Custom Single-Family Residence • Spec Home Development
Energy-Conscious Residential Design • Designed 2005
Created as the showcase residence for a new subdivision in North Conway, the Royal View Spec Home was designed to demonstrate how thoughtful planning, energy efficiency, and timeless architecture can work together in a modern mountain home. The design balances traditional New England character with contemporary living, creating a residence that feels both welcoming and enduring.
A key component of the project was its emphasis on solar orientation and passive design principles. The home's layout was carefully positioned to maximize natural daylight, reduce seasonal heat gain, and improve energy performance throughout the year. Generous living spaces, vaulted ceilings, integrated outdoor areas, and a flexible floor plan create a home equally suited for everyday family life or vacation living in the White Mountains.
Designed in 2005, the Royal View Spec Home reflects Lex George's holistic approach to residential architecture—combining site planning, environmental performance, and carefully crafted living spaces into a cohesive architectural solution. The project demonstrates how sustainable design principles can be integrated seamlessly into attractive, marketable homes without compromising comfort or aesthetics.
