Designed for a private developer, this apartment hotel was conceived to provide comfortable, long-term accommodations for government contractors and professionals working on extended assignments in Victoria. The project combines the convenience of hotel services with the privacy and functionality of apartment-style living, creating an ideal solution for extended stays.
The design features 60 thoughtfully planned suites organized around efficient circulation, structured parking, and resident-focused amenities. Flexible floor plans, generous balconies, and integrated common spaces create a welcoming environment that supports both short-term comfort and long-term occupancy. The stepped building mass responds to the site's unique geometry while maximizing natural light and views throughout the development.
Developed while with Tom Stark Architects, the proposal demonstrates Lex George's early experience in hospitality and multifamily design, blending residential comfort with commercial efficiency. Although the project remained unbuilt, it reflects a forward-thinking approach to a market segment that has since become one of the fastest-growing sectors in the hospitality industry.
