Salem, Massachusetts
Designed for a private developer in Salem, Massachusetts, this proposal combined sixteen condominium residences with approximately 3,500 square feet of professional office space in a thoughtfully planned mixed-use development.
The design responds to the surrounding residential neighborhood by breaking the building mass into a series of articulated forms with pitched roofs, generous balconies, and a welcoming central entrance. Parking is discreetly located beneath the residential floors, allowing the street frontage to remain pedestrian-friendly while maximizing the use of a compact urban site.
Working with Winter Street Architects, the project explored how contemporary condominium living could be integrated into an established New England community through careful attention to scale, materials, and neighborhood character. The result is a proposal that balances modern amenities with contextual architectural design.
